The release of her third studio /\/\/\Y/\ (Maya) is coming soon and the young Sri lanka native, M.I.A is making headlines in the New York Times. In an article entitled “M.I.A.’s Agitprop Pop,” contributor Lynn Hirschberg spoke on the political potential phoniness of her political activism attributed by the birth of her son Ikhyd.
“In one of many contradictions that seem to provide the narrative for Maya’s life and art, Ikhyd was not, as she had repeatedly announced he would be, born at a pool of water.”
Lynn comments, “As usual, she wanted to transform her personal life into a political statement.”
In reponse M.I.A posted Hirschberg’s number on Twitter page stating, “917.834.3158 CALL ME IF YOU WANNA TALK TO ME ABOUT THE N Y T TRUTH ISSUE, ill b taking calls all day bitches ;).”

She mimes, she has appalling dancers who are high on stage & fall around the place, crap lighting, i loved her albums but she was so shit in Manchester November 13 2010, seriously bad. This is why she doesn't tour in the uk!
